Missions Focus for November

A Message from Brian & Pam Eichelberger –
missionaries in the Czech Republic:

“The Czech Republic is a nation full of cultural and physical beauty. It is a place of spiritual darkness as it is one of the most secular and atheistic countries in the world. The Czech people, as a whole, do not trust religious and governmental institutions, and see no place for the local church in practical, everyday society. Therefore, before we can “jump in” and share the gospel we must prepare the spiritual soil of people’s hearts by building friendships and trust with them. For the past three years we have been focused primarily on going to the people through teaching English, coaching sports, opening our home to multiple hospitality events, meeting one on one with friends in restaurants, and holding marriage courses. More recently, we have sensed that the time is right for us to begin to speak directly with them about the gospel. We are now conducting an evangelistic course called “Alpha,” becoming even more intentional with the gospel in our one on one conversations, and in the initial stages of starting a house church. Along with that, we are providing assistance and consultation to our youth intern who has started a youth group.”
