Humbly With You
by Kristie Braselton
What shall I bring before my God? How shall I bow before you, before the high and holy One? What is the gift that I would bring you?
For all I have is from your hand, and what I need to understand is that your grace was never meant to be repaid.
I would bring a thousand offerings if you desired, but you delight in living sacrifice. What you require is to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with you.
What is this love that so pursues a wretched heart and makes it new? This humble King who stoops to serve with gentle hands and tender words, pouring out on me your kindness and your mercy;
and in your name I would turn and do the same.
I would bring a thousand offerings if you desired, but you delight in living sacrifice. What you require is to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with you.
In you, Lord, I find the strength I need. My heart is hard, my flesh is weak; so I’ll serve only by the strength that you provide,
and in all things, Lord, be glorified.
Help me do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with you.
Just to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with you.
