Potter’s Place Summer Program
Here’s an update on the progress of the Summer Program.
It is only possible with the support of this congregation. We are so appreciative! There are currently 31 kids enrolled.
Daily and weekly activities:
Monday – Greenhouse to water plants and harvest veggies
Tuesday – West Hill Terrace for crafts
Wednesday – Greenhouse
Thursday – VBS & Various (Library, Water day, etc..)
Friday – Greenhouse
Throughout the week, the kids visit the Edmeston Free Library and have a water fun day!
On July 16th, we made a ziti lunch and took it to West Hill Terrace to share with the residents in their community room. A tossed salad using freshly harvested lettuce from the green house as well as an éclair dessert made by the kids was enjoyed with ziti.
August 6th at 10:00 – Utica Zoomobile
August 8th at 10:00 – Visit the Edmeston Firehouse
August 21st at 10:00 – CCE Nutrition Presentation
August 23rd – Last day of Summer Program
The Potter’s Place Summer Program employs 4 adults and 7 teen students! Five of our teen staff are through the CDO Workforce; a program that pays their wages and insurance and allows our program to provide valuable vocational training to the teens. For most this is a first job and we take that responsibility very seriously. Thank you for supporting our mission! Laura Porter
